Strategic Planning for Major Research Institute
Pintail recently completed a strategic planning assignment with a multi-university research institute (CSET) in Ireland. This work included facilitation of workshops, drafting and editing of research strategy documentation and meetings/discussions with key stakeholders within the relevant state agencies.

Update March 2009: the same institute has now engaged Pintail to work with them on a Commercialisation Fund application to Enterprise Ireland, as the first step towards spinning out a new company based on research work.

Update Dec 2009: we're now working with the CSET on their renewal application and also on longer-term sustainability planning.

Enterprise Ireland Institutes of Technology Research Equipment Grant
Pintail is working with one of the Institutes of Technology to prepare applications for this important new grant programme. This repeat business reflects the value that our customers set on our services.

Update Q1 2009 : another success. The IoT in question is now working with Pintail to prepare a PRTLI application for new buildings into which to fit its burgeoning research infrastructure and growing research team.

Enterprise Ireland Research Facilities Enhancement Fund
Pintail recently worked with a HEI to prepare a submission to the RFES. The result was positive, with 100% of the requested budget being allocated. Pintail's role included editing, wordsmithing and the coordination and combination of a variety of inputs from several stakeholders.

Science Foundation Ireland Strategic Research Clusters
Two separate SFI SRC proposals in which Pintail was involved were recently (2007) selected for funding. These proposals were excellent examples of how Pintail brings value to the third level sector - the academics brought the science, the budget and the partners, while Pintail worked to create a coherent and compelling document, ensuring that all the terms of reference were addressed and that a professional proposal was submitted.
